april1985 Senior Member (female) Join Date: Feb 2011 Location: Nebraska Posts: 100	Plantar Fasciitis After Flat Foot Reconstruction Nine weeks ago I had a calcaneal osteotomy, cotton wedge osteotomy, gastroc recession, and kidner procedure. I went to my doctor today to get released back to work and get the okay to start driving again. At this point I'm full weight bearing and the xrays showed that everything is completely healed. I have been having lots of heel pain and swelling the past week or so. He diagnosed me with Plantar Fasciitis, he thinks due to wearing the boot. He wants me in a tennis shoe with special orthotics except while at work. I was totally surprised by this as I didn't know this could occur after flat foot reconstruction. Anyone have a similiar experience?
