Reason: Please do not post, or request contact information, such as email address, phone or name.
The nerves that connect your toes to your heal are irritated and inflammed.
Rolling on the arch cold like frozen orange juice or a frozen bottle of water helps, and you need a properly arch supports --- this took away all of my wife's pain almost instantly.
I don't think your arch supports are not providing the necessary support for your feet.
I wish you well---Harry

Definitely see a foot and ankle ortho and in the meantime, stretch your calves (see how online) about 3x a day along with the frozen juice cans (personally,a frozen water bottle worked well for me).If it IS plantar fasciitis, you will need to get off your feet a bit too.If you are overweight, losing weight will help also.

You have mentioned that you are flat footed. Have any of the doctors ordered an MRI? This would show problems with tendons or ligaments. I also have a job that requires me to be on my feet for 8 - 16 hours. Before I had surgery for my flat foot I was in incredible pain. I was always limping and when I got home from work, I would cry. I had the custom orthotics which did not help the problem. My doctor ordered an Mri and this showed that my ppt had ruptured. I am 10 mths. post op and my foot is so much better now. You should get a second opinion from a foot and ankle specialist who is board certified.

You need to make appointment with an orthopedic physican who specializes in foot/ankle. He/She will send you for MRI in order to see what's going on with the tendons, muscles, etc. (an xray will only show the bones)
Arches bought from a store don't work. Orthotics that are custom made for you are the best.
I had surgery on June 6 for a torn tibial tendon and a subtalar joint fusion. I know first hand the pain of having flat feet and a collapsed arch. We are not supposed to be in pain...that is indeed a sign that something is wrong.
You will get good advice from this healthboard from those who have walked in your shoes. (pardon the pun)
Again I say, check around for a board certified orthopedic specialist for ankle/foot. I think most of us started with a primary physician, then a podiatrist, then finally got help from the orthopedic physician.
Good luck to you. Please keep us posted on how you are doing.

I have custom arches...but they don't work..I was even thinking about gettin the schechers shoes...even though I think they look like platform shoes.lol but hey whatever takes away the pain..I thought maybe a couple people have it..but I was obviously wrong there s more people and some with less are severe problems ...just glad I can relate to the people who know what im goin threw...thanks eveyone for the advice.and the meo does sound like a food idea...once again thanks..and ill keep everyone posted on my outcome ...
Can you stand on a rubber mat? Lot of places are providing them now. Nothing else bring your own.
Also good socks and good boots. I wear lite wool hiking socks year round. I know a guy who was in the military and wears wool on the inside to wick away, and cotton on the outside. I have never tried two pairs, but its something to think about.
These are not cures, but you need to do something to make it through the day.
