| Subtalar implants and Flat foot surgery
Has anyone else undergone subtalar implant placement in conjuction with flat foot surgerey? I continue to have ongoing pain and alot of swelling on the lateral side of my foot where the implant was inserted. I really don't quite understand why I had placement in the first place and have read a few horror stories on this board about those that had them and all the problems they subsequently had.
The area in the vicinity of the actual tendon transfer is doing quite well. I have minimal pain there. Most of my pain is at the back and under my heel and the outside of my foot. I must say I am doing better walking wise but it sure does hurt enough to where it's hard to focus on anything else but foot pain. I truly wonder if I will be ever pain free from foot pain again. What a frustrating ordeal this has been!
