| Re: have talar OCD and need a second opinion asap
I have had drilling for OCD twice, first for a major lesion and more recently for a complete absence of cartilage on top of my talus. I do know that my OS, who is a foot and ankle specialist, doesn't have much faith in transplant surgery compared to microfracture treatment, but that's only one opinion. I agree it is very important to know what is going on. I am English and have lived in Germany and now France, and have been through several surgeries, so I understand how frustrating it is trying to deal with major health issues in a foreign language. Could you ask a German-speaking friend to help you to find a foot and ankle specialist who speaks English? Or ask them what the system is for finding specialists in Germany? If not, usually embassies and consulates for English-speaking countries have lists of English-speaking doctors. They don't mind you phoning - or look online. Putting in the effort to find a second opinion will be worth it! Good luck.
