So, yep. This is continued from the other topic, because it just got... Too messy, I guess, and I didn't want to bump it up almost a month later, in fear that it would confuse people.
If I'm doubling posting and not supposed to, sorry! :C
But onto what I mean in the title.
My mum and I were looking for some kind of answer for my ankle. It's been 2 months and 2 days since I "sprained" my ankle and it's really NOT any better. The swelling has gone down, but the bruising is still there. Whenever I walk, I get a SHARP pain on the inside of my ankle and going up the outside of my ankle through my leg.
I read just last night that if you sprain your ankle there should be no bone tenderness... Well, lemme tell you. Bone tenderness times about 12 from when I broke my elbow. It wasn't even a full break, it was a.. Compression break... Or something :C I don't remember. But pushing anywhere on my forearm would hurt REALLY bad. Still whenever you push on the fibula part of my ankle/leg, it's really tender.
I'm switching my primary doctor from my town to a city about an hour or so away. They have AMAZING health care and doctors. Hopefully we can get something done here...
I'm failing my gym class because I can't do anything. It's horrible to even try and walk, but I make do because I don't have any other choice. I'm probably messing up by not using crutches, but I can't handle crutches and school for 8 hours a day. Good news is, school gets out on Wednesday, the 6th.
When I flex my leg the best I can, the fibula bone pops out from the skin... The other (uninjured) side doesn't do that. I can move my ankle much farther than I can with the uninjured one, but it hurts like a betch...
Also, not sure if I posted this in the other one, but when I stand on the bad ankle, it rolls in when I stand on it. The other side stands up straight.
Then, today, I read that too much swelling can block out clear xrays. (If one of you posted that on the last post, I'm sorry! I haven't really read back over it.) I also read that it's harder to see a bone cracked through the middle rather than clear across the outside... If that makes any sense? And you probably won't see a talar dome break...
I'm guessing that these are possible due to the pain placement, my ROM, and the AMOUNT of pain.
I need to see an ortho pretty badly. What I really need is a boot, which I haven't had one... At ALL.
Any suggestions? :C
A goal without a plan is just a wish.

Re: Possible talar dome fracture/fibula fracture. :C
I was talking to my mum's co-worker today when she asked about my ankle in it's little lace up boot... Swed-o... Thing. :C
I told her the story and when I told her that they didn't give me crutches when I went to the ER nor a boot or cast, she was shocked. She said that my ankle shouldn't be popping or grinding with increasing pain in the middle of my ankle after 2 months... The popping COULD be tendons or ligaments catching on each other, but they should be mostly healed by now.
I honestly do not think that this is just an ankle sprain anymore........
My band teacher (I play clarinet) is upset because there's marching band this summer, like there is every summer. I do not know if this is safe for me to do or not. She said that if I can do it, she wants me to. If not, it's fine and she'll still give me the community service points as long as I show up to the parade and rehearsals.
My gym teacher is upset/pissy because I can't run or jump or really do anything... It's even hard to walk, and believe me, it's hard to play football or ultimate frisbee when you are sitting down. It's impossible! :C So, I'm failing. She thinks that everything is BS and she says that it should be healed by now. Well, it obviously IS NOT healed by now. My friend broke his ankle a few weeks ago and he's in a walking boot... Nothing against him. She even wrapped and splinted his ankle for him when he did it in the gym. Me? NOPE. Nobody even helped me up, let alone wrap it for me! I had to walk on it for 5 days before I finally went to my local clinic and got crutches when the ER didn't give me any...
I'm really sick of this. I had a concert for school on Tuesday night and I couldn't wear my brace. I usually wear heels, but it was impossible. I could barely walk in my flats without rolling my ankle. It didn't roll when I went to get my promotion papers, but it did roll when I was going up the steps to go home.
My skin is purple and my ankle is still swollen after 2 months. When I walk, there's a sharp pain on the inside of my ankle... It's getting worse.
I'm sick of it. I want my life back.
I blame my doctors and my school. Hardcore bullying at school and I live in the town of backwoods alley hospitals.......
None of this helps when your "best friend" squeezes the **** out of your ankle even when it's in the brace. The pressure on it hurts like a BAMF. It's hell... Literally.
