Tarsal coalition hardware removal
 

I had surgery in March for a calcaneonavicular coalition. My surgeon cut apart the two bones and placed a "plug" or "implant" between them. I now have to have the plug removed as it is causing me serious pain.
I am now wondering what the recovery will be like for this procedure?? My doctor says it is a very small incision with a few stitches and I will just need to take it easy for a few days. I am really hoping someone had a similar experience and could give me some insight into what to expect?! (Both short and long term)
