Hello everyone. I had a bunionectomy in 1998 and it has been a nightmare ever since. The podiatrist said I had a bone tumor and did a bone graft. I have swelling all the way up to my knee to this day. The last time I spoke to a doctor about this, he looked briefly at it and said that he saw no swelling and I was making a big deal over nothing. I have to ice my ankle every day and wear compression stockings to work. My big toe joint is stiff and painful. Recently, I have started to have cramping on the outside of my ankle (like I've twisted it but I have not) and it tingles and hurts.
definitely see another doctor. Sounds like you have something else going on. Have you looked into any other things like RSD/CRPS? I am not saying you have this, but you need to get the bottom of things so you can get help. Hang in there.
