| Calcaneal osteotomy-2 yrs post op- still in severe pain
Hello all,
For those that have gone before me, any advice or experiences you can share are appreciated.
I underwent calcaneal osteotomy almost two years ago, and am still in severe pain all the time. Cannot stand for long period of time and walking barefoot is extremely painful. Sites where the screws are are extremely sensitive and sore. I take great care to ensure that nothing touches them, as if something hits that spot it's excruciating. Is this normal for everyone?
It has been a waste of time trying to get help from my surgeon and no other doctor will see me because they did not perform the procedure.
Please tell me if you have experienced this so late after your procedure or if you know what may be the cause.
Also, I don't think my surgeon believes in screw removal.
