Elevation Question
So I have elevated my foot religiously each night when I sleep. I'm 5 weeks post-op and in a boot. I do not have much swelling. Can I sleep without elevation now?

I found that I was de-elevating myself during the night around that point. If it doesn't hurt to not elevate and you turn over in your sleep, well, you really can't help that, now can you? Didn't seem to make a difference at all except that I slept better!

I was ok not to elevate at this point, with my last surgery. I started by going from using two pillows to one pillow, then nothing. Keep your elevating pillows close by, the first few nights. you can always grab quickly and elevate, if you find it too uncomfortable without.
