So, tonight I was getting out of the shower, drying off my belly- carefully as usual, and I felt/ heard what sounded like a popping sound when dabbing at my incision. It hurt! But only for a minute....

I did some research and found that it may have been scar tissue which popped OR it could have been an internal stitch which I broke...meanwhile, the area flattened out considerably. It looks 100% flatter than it did before this happened.

Anyone ever hear of this happening? I dont think I have anything to worry about as it looks fine- and actually feels better....but that popping sound was weird.

Thoughts?

It was really weird...but this morning, it actually looks 100x better than it was looking. Whatever I did, flattened out the incision and now it looks like it will heal as nicely as the others.

Strange! Ill check with my GI Tuesday, but my gut tells me whatever it was, it wasnt a big deal.

I wanted to update what my doctor said I had which Popped...its called a Seroma, and it is a fluid filled cyst, which develops at the surgery site. In some cases, they have to drain it, but apparently mine decided to rupture on its own.

I'm lucky. I wouldn't have wanted more surgery to remove it or a drain put in place! My doctor said its healing fine and no worries...but I wanted to update you all on what it is, and what CAN happen! They dont necessarily show up immediately after surgery, sometimes taking up to 6 months to develop.
