Post Gall Bladder Surgery Day 10 - Gallbladder Message Board

I wanted to let everyone know that I am on Day 10 of post gall bladder surgery. Everything is going great. I am healing very nicely. Still a little bit sore but, everything is going great. I am able to do some walking and things around the home. I do feel alot better. I have to watch that I don't eat certain foods but, I am ok with that because I am trying to stick to healthy eating. I have been able to eat food pretty good. I stay away from fatty, high salt, and sweet foods. I eat alot of vegetables and fruit. When I was real sore I used heating packs and they worked wonderfully.

I am happy because I I lost 45 pounds and still having to lose some more weight. My blood pressure was high and since I had to change my diet and start excersising, I have lost weight. Everything is turning out to be positive. Thanks for all your support and I will try to be supportive to those of you who are about to go through gall bladder surgery.

Thanks for the "encouraging" words. I will be having Surgery November 13 for my gall bladder also. Don't know if they will cut or do Laproscopic. How was your gall bladder removed?

My gall bladder was removed by lap. surgery. I got to go home the same day. I had a good medical team. Not to worry, things will go real good but, just remember, the appetite will change and you will have to make some adjustments on the type of foods eaten. I learned that I have to eat lite meals and not eat alot of fat foods, sweets, chocolate, but, I am ok with that. I eat alot of vegetables and fruits, chicken, fish. You will do great in your surgery. Good luck.
