Gallbladder and high cholesterol
I've been wondering....
A year and half ago, my cholesterol numbers where at 6. I didn't do anything about them, no diet change, if anything, I was reckless during this last year and at far too much ice cream.
Last October, I had to get my gallbladder out because they tought I had a large polyp, turns out it was gallstones (humm).
My last cholesterol numbers jumped up to 8.3 along with my weight gain (10 lbs in 1.5 years).
These numbers WOKE me up! So changed my diet completely, exercise, lost 10 lbs, (will loose another 15 to get to a healthy bmi number), taking RYR etc...
Question is: Since my gallbladder is out, I understand that the liver takes over. Would the removal of a gallbladder contribute to high cholesterol?
