I had gallstones back in 2005 and had to have the surgery to remove my gallbladder. I sometimes have the same pain in the same area upper middle abdomen. Right now I have the pain and it's pretty moderate. I feel it in my back and it feels like my ribcage hurts too. It kinda hard to explain. When I search for what it could be. I keep getting pancreatitis. I have the abdmonial pain and nausea. My question is can you have pancreatitis with no gallbladder? How serious is pancreatitis? If I don't do anything will it go away on its on? I have been have this pain for about 3 days. I don't want to go to ER or the Dr.
Yes, you can have pancreatitis without a gallbladder. My mother had this for a number of years. I'd make an appointment with your doctor. In the meantime, there are certain foods you should avoid so I'd do a search and steer clear of those.
I had my gallbladder removed 8 weeks ago and was also getting similar pains in my abdomen from when I had my gallbladder (I had gallstones and cholecystitis) I had a repeat ERCP 2 days ago and it turns out I had 3 stones in my bile duct. Could this be a possibility? Have you spoken to your doctor?
