Pain underneath ribs after gallbladder removal? - Gallbladder Message Board

I recently experienced pain in my upper right rib cage area. This is the third time its happened to me since I had my gallbladder removed almost 5 months ago. The previous two times before it happened right after I had a protein shake after working out. Well, it happened again last night after I had a protein shake after exercising. Would could it be? Am I having gallstones again?

Most likely the bile duct that took over for the gb has problems with this shake. Five months out isn't all that long when it comes to digestive difficulties. I'd cut out the shake and see what happens.

Since your pain happens only after a protein shake and exercise, it sound like your bile duct is not functioning properly.

I think you should get it checked by your doctor--- 5 months -- I think is plenty long enough!!

hi i would go back to dr. stones can come back mine did and blocked my ducts almost killed me hope all works out
