This is interesting. I had my gall bladder out 4/25 and was doing fine until 2 weeks ago when I started having abdominal cramping then diarrhea. When I tried to increase Benefibre (had been taking just 1 tsp w/ 1/2 cup water a day) to 1 tablespoon, I got a pain where my gb used to be...a bit scarey! I'm making an appt tomorrow to see my gastroenterologist asap and find out what's going on. I'll mention this bile salts diarrhea post and Questran and see what she says. I've heard that people who don't have gall bladders filled with stones (but have the barely functioning gb) do not fare as well post surgery as those who had the stones. Sheesh. But thanks for this information.
