Interstim Therapy/Bladder lift

I am planning on having my bladder lifted with a sling and a mesh netting will also be placed to keep my bladder in place. I also visited with my doctor and he is suggesting to use the interstim treatment to help with my incontinence. My question is doesn't the bladder lift fix the
problem of incontinence?

Re: Interstim Therapy/Bladder lift

I had the my bladder lifted 2 years ago and no longer have a problem with incontinence. I used to leak when I laughed too hard or sneezed or coughed. Not anymore!!!! It's wonderful! Good luck>

Re: Interstim Therapy/Bladder lift

Hi lmartin,

The Interstim will take care of your urge incontinence (or overactive bladder). The sling will take care of the stress incontinence (and maybe prolapse). Urge incontinence/OAB is when you leak without reason or have to go to the bathroom a lot. Stress Incontinence means you leak with exercise, lifting, sneezing etc.

Twop treatments for two separate conditions.
