| Post Bladder Augmentation issues
I had a bladder augmentation in January (part of my small intestine used to enlarge my bladder) My case/need for the augmentation was due to some nerve damage (birth defect that reared it's ugly head in my forties) causing false nerve messages to my bladder resulting in a small overworked bladder that could only hold 2 oz. My results after removing the supra pelvic and foley caths was incredible! I did not need to cath, near normal urination came back. (flow was slower and I had to lean forward for full emptying of bladder - I am female). At peak of recovery my new bladder worked up to approx 2 1/2 - 3 hours between voids. In the last week or so the intense spasms that I experienced prior to my surgery has returned and I am voiding very frequently. Today during a movie I distracted my movie theater neighbors my leaving 3 times to go to the restroom.
does anyone have a similar experience and/or advice. I will be seeing my urologist as soon as possible, but some layman advice would take a bit of the stress out of the wait. It would mean a lot to me.
Thanks folks
