I pick up alot viruses when you don't have a gallbladder

I notice now that I don't have a gallbladder I am picking up viruses so easy. Like if someone is coughing in a public place I am most likely to get sick the next day. I wash my hands constantly and take all the precautions. Like last winter I had walking pneumonia - which I never had in my life. If I ever got chest congestion I always shrugged it off and felt better in matter of days but never would get sick. Today I have a sinus infection with possible pink eye so I go back to the doctors again. I am tired of this - does anyone go through this who doesn't have a gallbladder.

I already had a complete physical with my thyroid checked and everything. My gallbladder was removed 11 months ago. It seems that my body is not working right since I had the surgery. I eat right and exercise. I take vitamins. I even went to a allergist who told me I wasn't allergic to anything.

No virus problems here. From your other posts though, it seems like you get sick often, even before the GB removal.. ? Maybe your immune system is weak.

Your gallbladder doesn't have anything to do with filtering viruses that is the job of another body system. It just seems you are having some bad luck or just normal things are happening. Who knows why we get the things we get. If you are otherwise healthy it is just your turn to catch things.

Had my gallbladder removed about 30 years ago, never really had a problem.

i think perhaps you are thinking about your spleen? that can cause immunity problems.. however, it could be that you are just still not up to usual yet. or perhaps you just havent been exposed to any of these viruses yet - and you wouldn't have immunity for them.
