Re: Rectal bleeding during Gall bladder surgery
I don't know if it is normal, but I too had rectal bleeding after gall bladder. Nothing like it being on the sheets, but normally after a BM. I went to the doctor, who told me I had a rectal tear. He said it may be caused by my rapid weight loss, as I literally didn't eat much at all during the time I was hurting. I lost 35 pounds in less than two months. I now take two stool softners a day, and the doctor put me on suppositories. I went back a week later and the doctor told me I was healed, but now I am back on suppositories for rectal bleeding again. The doctor wants me to do a colonoscopy, but with no insurance, it is hard to say, "yes". Since taking the suppositories, I haven't noticed any more blood. I do hurt a lot more when I am on my monthly period and the rectal bleeding seems to show up during that time too. I am still losing weight, so that may be it again. Did you ever find out what was causing yours?
