Re: drinking alcohol after gallbladder surgery

There is no reason to not have alcohol after gallbladder surgery. The gb only handles fat digestion. The only things to avoid are fatty foods and spicy ones for a few weeks afterward. In fact, I washed my Lortab done with a glass of wine when I had mine out!

Re: drinking alcohol after gallbladder surgery

Be sure to limit the amount perhaps - red wine has some benefits than other types of alcohol and have with low-fat low acidic meals, maybe?

A dinner with a broiled chicken breast, potato/broccoli might be good for starts. Nothing too spicy. (Just to see how it goes?) And always ask your doctor too, just in case.

I was never told that it would be a good idea to start on probiotics and enzymes until years after. They do help!!

Good luck and good health.
