Pulled muscle, hernia or problems after gallbladder surgery?
I am a healthy 40 year mom of 4 and I had my gallbladder out 3-4 years ago. Other then the normal issues expected, I haven't had any major problems from having it removed. Last week I was doing some VERY heavy lifting and I felt something pop right where my gallbladder used to be. It was at my lower right rib in the front. It took my breath away, hurt VERY bad, and felt like something moved out of place and was stuck. It went back into place after I rubbed it but was sore for a day or so. Last night I bent over and it did it again. I couldn't breath until it went back into place, whatever it was.
I thought most hernia's happened much lower so I'm assuming it's a pulled muscle but wouldn't it hurt all of the time? This really only hurts the two times it "went out". The area is tender but nothing like a pulled muscle I've had before.
Any help? I don't want to go to the dr unless I really need to.
