Sphincter of Oddi? Bile sludge? or scar tissue?
Hi I am back again and would love some advice. I am still having continuous pain in URQ area (post gallbladder removal of 6 months) and am on motilium/scuralfate x3 time daily for nausea.
The pain hurts all the time or some times can be a throbbing sharp pain. I also can not sleep on my right side in bed most of the time.
I felt wonderful for the first 3 months after my damaged gallbladder was taken out and my gastritis disappeared and all nausea. Then exactly 3 months later I got the pain, the gastritis back and the nausea.
My specialist now says this is just scar tissue causing the pain and the gastritis/nausea is just a coincidence. He does not want to discuss the option of Sphincter of Oddi or bile sludge in my duct.
I don't think for one second this is scar tissue and am not sure what to do. My only option with him seems to walk away and put up with the pain and stay on drugs.
Has anybody else been told scar tissue and it turned out to be Sphincter of Oddi or sludge in the bile duct?
Thank you for any opinions as I feel rather frustrated.
