You were correct about the tracer not being the same stuff as the ct scan. It doesn't burn, did even know it was used.
The test took two hours. A few months ago, the test was changed. The first hour was for the tracer to go through. The table I laid on was so narrow. I was warm as I was covered with blankets. I was surprised I didn't have to change into a gown. The xray machine is completely quiet. I didn't even know anything was happening except I could see the computer image across the room. I had a pad under my knees but I was still very uncomfortable, being obediant and not moving at all per the instructions. I had back surgery a few years ago and need another one so that was the cause of my discomfort.
At the end of the hour, I had about 3 minutes to stretch. Then the medicine is injected over six minutes. I didn't feel anything at first and then had a sharp knife-like pain in my side that caused tears to run down my cheeks. It stopped and then started again. I was told it was the gallbladder contracting. She said sometimes people feel it and other times they feel nothing. It did that for about five minutes and then it was ok. It would have been nice to have a tv or listen to music as it was quite boring laying there pretending I was a rock. Now and then the tech would come by and we would talk and she would tell me how much time I had left. She said I could go to sleep if I wanted. I could see how some people would. She took the IV out and I just laid there counting sheep. At the end of two hours, I was on my way.
No feedback yet. Will let you know. Overall, it wasn't bad at all if my back was ok. My back is hurting tonight but everything else is great.

I like to thank you for sharing your experience for that test. I am going to get mine on Aug. 22. A bit nervous, but reading what you have to say makes me feel better. Let me know what they said about you, IF you don't mind. Again thank you
