Questions about traditional gallbladder surgery recovery.
My wife has a 2cm stone stuck in one of her ducts. The first ERCP was unable to remove the stone because it is really stuck in there. They have not seen anything like this in years. They are going to try again but if they can't remove it they will need to do a traditional surgery instead of a laparoscopic surgery. My wife is a middle school teacher and is worried she won't be able to return to work for 4 to 6 weeks. Is this really the case, or since her job is not physically strenuous might she be able to return to work earlier?
