Bleeding Belly Button - General Health Message Board

Hey

I dont know where to put this so I thought that general health was the best place. Sometimes I experience bleeding or discharge in my belly button. Does anyone know what could cause this or whether it should set off alarms?

Hi agarreldia, I have the same problem minus the bleeding. I get a yellowish foul smelling discharge from my belly button. I use a q tip and peroxide/alcohol to clean it. It's gross and I have no idea what it is, I just wanted you to know that someone else has that problem too. Let me know if you find out what it is

Hi, I have the same thing. Mine doesn't bleed though. It's really red inside and a yellowish discharge comes out. It really stinks too. I thought it might have been from not drying my belly button enough, but I have been and it still does that. It's soooo grossss

Me too...
I have this problem too, but I think mine is due to other skin ailments I have. I have a cream prescribed by my dermatologist that I use when it flares up. My Derm. says it's a fungal problem and she gave me a cream that has some Canesten properties in it.
