It could be the lumbar as suggested or it could be the sciatica nerve as well, both will give the same sensation.
To relieve sciatica pressure try this:
lay flat on the floor on your beck, bend both knees up, feet flat on the floor, place your foot (the leg that hurts) on the opposite side of your opposite knee, still bent. Grab your knee and gently press the affected leg towards the floor downward (towards the other knee), hold for a few secdonds and release, repeat a few times.

If it continues you should get it check out. I wouldn't exercise it any to try to get rid of it until you know for sure what it is, you could do extra damage or irriate it more.
