constant Nausea anybody?! - General Health Message Board

Hello,
my name's natylee and i'm 16 years old.
For the last... (oh lets say..) month i've been experiencing "random" nausea.
about 2 weeks ago I felt nauseous at different times in the day,(I didn't eat for fear of it getting worst) and this lasted for a 3 day period.
Then, it went away for 2 weeks, now it's back again, it started lastnight (september 27th 2004) and it's still here (september 28th 2004). I don't know if this time it'll stay or if it'll go away for another 2 weeks time. But I know I have a physical on October 4th with my family doctor. Should I make the appointement sooner?
I really need some advice.
ps.: i have been having sex without protection for 8 months now, and i'm not pregnant. Therefore I let myself self-diagnose myself to infertility. Or he was. either way... I don't think this is pregnancy. Atleast I hope not.
I've been fearing vommiting ever since I first puked.
I know that if I think about it too much I start feeling sick (***It's all in the mind***)
I don't know what to do someone.. please help me!!

How sure are you that you aren't pregnant? Having unprotected sex isn't a safe habit to have

and you said that you did a self diagnosis for infertility. That doesn't mean much, it could just mean that you weren't having sex at the time of the month that you could become pregnant.

I made that same assumption too. My boyfriend and I used no protection and for 8 months no pregnancy so we assumed one of us was infertile. Boy were we wrone. I ended up getting pregnant.

When was your last period? Have you tried a home pregnancy test to make sure you're not pregnant?

I can relate to the fear of vomitting. I'm a vomit phobic and thinking about too much will turn my stomach too. The best thing to do is be completely honest with your physician. If you're not experiencing any other symptoms besides the nausea there probably isn't any reason to move the appt. up since it's for next Monday. On the other hand if you're feeling miserable and seeing someone sooner will help you feel better then by all means call and see if they can get you in sooner.

Hope you feel better and that you're not pregnant. Don't make the same mistake I did. USE PROTECTION!!!!

i know a couple that had sex for almost a year with no protection and they thought they were in the clear, and BOOM she got pregnant and they now have a little girl from it. Dont assume youre not pregnant without getting yourself a test!! Dont wait, if you are there are major decisions you need to make being 16 yrs old. PLEASE use protection , youre young and have a full life ahead of u, if ur not scared of pregnancy be scared of HIV or any other killer out there. BE SMART
