| Re: knee pain question
General practitioners don't have much a of a clue about knee problems. Knees are tricky. If this continues to bother you, find yourself an orthopedic surgeon who specializes in knee problems.
I had serious knee problems years ago, and trust me, you NEED to see a specialist.
The pain could just be a result of "growing pains," or it could be something more which needs to be treated. Maybe some physical therapy would help. An orthopedic surgeon can sort out what needs to be done (or *if* something needs to be done).
Good luck.
