Bloody nose, should I be concerned?

I just wondered if a bloody nose neccessarily signals something serious. It's not that bad and it doesn't drip out of my nose. The weather here, flucuates and it's been windy with mild temps (50's) and then it gets colder one day (35-40) and then it gets mild again. I have allergies and dry skin. I didn't know if this was something I needed to check with my doctor about or someone here had some suggestions. Thanks everyone!

I did forget to mention, that this is only in one nostril if that makes any difference.

Re: Bloody nose, should I be concerned?

Hi there! It could be a number of things but obviously it is best to get it checked out with your doctor. Have you any other symptoms of illness like bad heads or sinus trouble or sore throat. My dad had a bad cough for weeks and then his nostril started to bleed. Turns out he had an immune system disease called Wegener's Granulomatosis which is very rare and hard to diagnose. Obviously I'm sure that you have nothing like that and as i've already said, there are so many things that can cause a nose bleed, but its always best to get checked over! Good luck and take care.
