Weirdness

Not sure where to post this! - but just wondering what could be causing my burning stomach for over a month now. (right under breastbone) It doesn't matter what I eat, it just is "up to my stomach". When it gets all warm sometimes my face will feel like it is flushing too. One Ritz cracker will stop it, one Rolaid will stop it, even a XANAX will stop it! (it MAY return in a half hour, or it may send it away until after my next meal) I'm fine if I am moving around, and I am fine when laying down and fine all night. It's only when I sit still. I have no indigestion, but sometimes I'll the get heartburn WHILE I'm eating. (well, I'm SITTING!) WEIRD! I'd think it was stress or anxiety, but I was happy as a clam and calm as could be for the months preceeding this! It does seem to be improving finally, but I am curious!

Re: Weirdness

Sounds like an over-acid stomach. When you sit still you are more aware of what is going on with your body.

Re: Weirdness

Makes sense! Is that a hereditary thing? My dad had it his whole life.

Re: Weirdness

I have acid reflux and it sounds similar to that. The only thing that really works for me is Tagamet 200mg, even the generic kind works. I don't have it all the time, but when I do I feel burning in my throat and stomach, but I do get indigestion and regurgitation. Hope that helps
