I have been reading that sometimes low body temp can be caused by a thyroid problem. Are there any other symptoms if it is indeed due to a thyoid problem? Also, isn't it common for some people to naturally just have low body temp with no health problem? The other question I have is, if a person has a low body temp and there is no health problem, or at least they don't know of one, when they have a temp of 98.2 or something around there, does that mean that they are sick? I ask that because normally temp is 98.6 and if that person is till under normal body temp or right at it, would that mean that they are sick? Whewwww! Did you guys get all that?!

now im only 15, but i do believe some normal people have a lower body temperature. so i mean.. if you always have a low temp. and feel fine.. its possible you are fine.
hello,
To answer the first question, some symptoms of Hypothyroidism is weight gain, inability to lose weight, dry skin, slow heart beat, low blood pressure, constipation, and of course low body temp. There is a simple blood test that can be done to test for hypothryroidism. You should check out the thyroid board, it is very helpful.
