Small lump close to my ear - General Health Message Board

I have a small pea sized lump on the side of my head, close to my ear right, its sort of on my cheek bone where my sideburns are. It has been there ever since I can remember, at least ten years. Recently my right ear is feeling a little weird almost like an ear infection starting (had a couple before).
Also the lump seems to be paining a little as well, does anyone have any thought s on what this lump could be. I am always afraid of cancer so I tend to over react, but it never hurt before. Its hard and does not seem to move when I press on it.

My little cousin has one too. I think it's just extra meat????

could be a swollen lymph node. that's what i'm dealing with right now and just had a CT scan for. i'd at least ask a doctor.
