Water, sleep and food always worked for me. Once you get the food down you can take some Tylenol. I was usually nausious (sp?) until I ate. Then a hour or so later I would feel sick again. At least I was able to take some Tylenol. Only time will make you feel much better. I think with maturity you will be able to control your intake better. I would do that when I was young, but after a few hangovers like you have right now I finally calmed down a bit. Now that I have a baby, I have not had more than two drinks at any givin time in over two years. I do not miss the hangovers.
If you know that you're going to have a heavy night when drinking it's best to drink a glass of water after each alcoholic drink. That will save you from a vicious hangover (alcohol dehydrates you). Also, before falling asleep after a night of drinking have a tall glass of water. Sounds like a lot of water I know but it's better than feeling horrid the next day.
I drank heavily when I was in my 20's and believe me I tried everything, drinking as much water as I could before going to sleep, you name it. The only remedy for a hangover is time. I don't drink any more.
I too drink lots of water, I try to drink a full glass or two before I go to bed just so I can start flushing it out fast! And I know the bottles say not to take while drinking alcohol, but I know if i've had a lot I will take a couple before I go to bed to try and make sure I dont get a headache.
I also will make myself throw up sometimes too. I know I had a long night once with UV raspberry vodka and lemonade! And I felt so sick in the morning that I made myself throw up, and it was all that lemonade and I tell you what, I felt 100x better after I did that.
I too drink lots of water the next day. And eat something good. The gatorade probably didnt help you because there is sugar in it and all the does and dehydrate you more. Just drink plan 'ol water! It's the best.
Chaser pills!! They work wonders! You take 2 of these pills every 2 drinks or something like that....I forget the exact directions, but any time I go out and drink I take these and I NEVER get hangovers anymore. I didn't believe they would work at first but they really really do. You can find them at drugstores....I get mine at Rite Aid for like 5/6 bucks.
I think that if you are going to keep "boozin" you might have to resign yourself to feeling a bit crappy afterwards. Remember that you can drink in moderation and still have a good time. The last thing you want is alcohol poisoning.
Entirely not drinking alcohol isn't necessary (unless you know you'll most likely get addicted). Moderation is the best way to go... Anyway, I never understood why anyone would continue drinking when they're already drunk.
I went out last night and stopped drinking around midnight and started on water. My hangover wasn't that bad at all this morning and I drank a lot of vodka.
I used to drink almost nightly, but I have managed to cut it down to only about 2 or 3 times per week now. I'm still working on eliminating it down to almost nothing. The only reason I still do it is because I don't like to go to bars and not drink! It's no fun.
