Question Stomach Pain & Bloating After Eating - Please advise!?

Hi,

I am worried about my husband. For the last 4 months or so he's been (on and off) complaining about stomach aches.

For the last two-three weeks, it has increased to almost every time he's finished eating something - I can't really see a pattern with certain foods, seems like it's everything and anything.

I tried to get him to see the dr when it first starting happening but he said it was nothing. The pain is scaring him now, so he finally agreed and is going next week, thank goodness.

Along with the pain, which he says is basically a lot of pressure, is a ton of bloating, sometimes his stomach is so far out, I think it's going to burst. He says I can't touch it or it hurts. He doesn't have much gas but his stomach can get very hard too when it bloats out. He doesn't normally have trouble going to the bathroom, if anything, he goes a lot but says it's "normal" bowel movements. Spicy foods don't seem to hurt him. Coffee does tend to run right through him.

Can anyone shed a little light on this for me? Are his symptoms a sure sign of an ulcer? What can we expect the dr to say/do? Will he need an endoscopy? Could it simply be IBS (something I have)? Or leaky gut syndrome, I've heard of that but don't know what it is...?

PLEASE! If anyone can give me any insight, I'm so nervous about it.

I'd really appreciate it! Thank you.
