Fever spike?

Hi,

A couple of times (months apart) I've had very strange spells when my fever spikes very high and I have some trouble breathing, nausea and vomiting, and chills. Then, after 20 minutes or so, it goes back down (my normal temperature is actually quite low - about 97 degrees) and I feel fine again, at least after resting for a little while. Is that something I should go to the doctor about, when it's for such a short time? Thanks in advance for any words of wisdom!

Paquita
