Question Left arm numb and tingly

I'm a 35 year old male, no known medical conditions. On monday I woke up feeling kind of like I do when I sleep with one of my arms raised above my head (in this case it was my left arm). That was 5 days ago. My left arm still feels kind of numb especially from my elbow down. And I get the tingly sensations randomly also from my elbow down to my fingers. Other than that I feel good. All advice welcome.

Thank you,
RSand

Re: Left arm numb and tingly

Best to get this checked out by a neurologist. You might have pinched a nerve or slept on it wrong but go to a doc asap.

Re: Left arm numb and tingly

i had this once.

panicked myself to death thinking i was at deaths door.

was a trapped nerve..
try moving your arm in all mad positions to move the trapped nerve

Yup... I had this once as well. And like Shauny said, panicked pretty righteously.
It went away after hurling my arm around, but if that doesn't help pretty right away, go see a doc.

Re: Left arm numb and tingly

Well it's now Tuesday and the arm feels fine. All by itself.

Still go see a doctor, my numbness has been going on for over a year now and we don't know why, it comes and goes.

Re: Left arm numb and tingly

definetly good idea to go the doctor immediatly especially with it being your left arm meaning the possible heart connection. Hopefully just a pinched nerve in the least. Either way, best to see a doctor.
