Hello
By any chance do you work at an office setting? At a desk? Perhaps garden? Sounds like the classic symptoms of strain. Stress can play a big part of what you are feeling, as it does tense muscles.
I am 20 and already have been diagnosed with Carpal Tunnel.. I know, so young, but computers these days.. Anyways, a doctor can make a clear diagnosis. Perhaps your doctor was mainly looking for bone problems, or might not have been versed in the subject of CT. Along with intense pain in the wrist itself.. You would also feel itchness, numbness and tingling of your first three fingers (thumb, index and middle).
Your wrist is made up of bones called "the carpals".. there are two carpals in your wrist that actually, when traced to the first three fingers, line up perfectly. These two carpals form the "carpal tunnel" - a passage way for nerves, blood vessles, ect. One specific nerve, the median nerve passes through this tunnel and provides sensation to the first three fingers.
When these two carpals, that form the tunnel, get too close, they could, and very often, pinch this median nerve.
Hope this helps!
