Itchy after swimming - General Health Message Board

Can anyone suggest anything. Whenever I go swimming in a publib baths, my penis itches and the top of my legs go blotchy. After a while the blotchy legs are OK but my penis (head) is still red and itchy. What could it be ? Can I put any cream on before swimming ?

You could be allergic to the chlorine in the pool. I wouldn't swim anymore until you get checked by a doctor.

It definitely sounds like an allergic reaction to pool chemicals. Do you shower really well as soon as you get out of the pool? If not, you might try that and see if it helps. If not, you probably need to talk to your doctor about what, if anything, you can do to prevent the problem.
