What kind of Dr...Need advice!!! - General Health Message Board

Would YOU see??

I have been to my GP and she basically thinks I am fine..no further follow up necessary. I have had blood tests and an MRI. All fine. But I dont FEEL fine. Do I see a Rhuematologist for possible FM or CFS or an Allergist for possible allergies..or what??? What is my next step or should I just leave it alone?? I have the following symptoms:

Extreme fatigue
Short lived pains in various parts of my body (sharp pains, localized mainly in arms, neck, chest, ears, and head)
Headaches (I always thought they were sinus related)
Lightheadedness
Tightness in throat
Acid reflux (occasional)
PVCs (skipped heartbeats)
Anxiety
Occasional bloody taste in back of throat
Occasional loss of eyelashes
Overall soreness of body
Teeth grinding at night

Any suggestions??

I am 31. Female. Non smoker/drinker. I take ativan and klonopin for anxiety (both VERY low doses). Been on ativan for many years. Klonopin for couple months (sx were before klonopin). I also take propranolol for fast heart rate. I am about 10lbs over weight since having a baby 1 year ago.

sorry you are feeling so crappy.i would have to agree with you.if you do not feel fine,then something has to be going on somewhere in your body,it is just tracking down the culprit that can drive you insane.I really do think that you are on track with regards to seeing the rheumy doc.i was really amazed at the in depth blood work up that was actually done on me when he mentioned 'doing a little blood work".god, the results were three pages long and tested for just about everything and anything in the body.This would be a good thing for you to have done.At least if nothing else, it would rule out many many other possible reasons for your ongoing symptoms.do not listen to your doc regarding "you are fine" when you are so obviously,in your mind,not fine.sometimes,in a search for answers to the reasons for certain medical problems you run up against many really stupid and uncaring people who really never should have gotten into medicine and actually deal with people.at all.Or the arrogant egotistical 'speacialists" who feel they know it all and you know nothing.sooo sometimes you have to get a little nasty and aggressive with these people in order to get the best possible care for yourself.between my many medical issues and my youngest sons issues, i have had to deal with many many many so called medical professionals over the past five years and up til the time when my son became extremely ill with liver failure and ended up (thank god) with a transplant,i thought of docs as sort of 'godlike"?Boy, what a total experience and wake up call i had!You just HAVE to hang tough,voice your concerns and do not take an 'additude" from anyone.if you appear to be a 'weak" minded patient in anyway,you WILL also be treated that way unfortunetly.You have to be aggressive sometimes in order just to be taken seriously,honestly.unfortunetly,in this day and age of docs seeing like hundreds of patients a day,you have to speak up in order to stand out from the crowd and get your needs met.i wish you lots of luck and hope that you get some answers very soon.just hang in there til that time comes.and don't take crap from anyone,K??
