Re: Do common warts spread to genitals?
I hope it is okay to post this here. I found this information
Q. What is the difference between genital HPV infections and infections caused by HPV that are found on other parts of the body?
A. Some types of HPV produce common skin warts on various parts of the body, including plantar warts on the feet and common hand warts. Of the more than 100 types of HPV that have been identified, about 30 are sexually transmitted and infect the genital area, including the cervix (or opening to the uterus), vagina, vulva, anus and penis. All are viruses, with slight differences in their structure.
Q. Are the warts on your hand the same as the sexually transmitted type?
A. No. All warts are caused by papillomaviruses, but each type of HPV grows only on specific areas of the body."
I'd post a link to it but I don't know if that is allowed?
This info makes me feel a lot better.
MsMandy I have had them frozen but they didn't die completely, some did, others didn't so I've been fighting them with compound w and it seems to be working. I just hope im not damaging my skin with that stuff.
