Hayley...Has your husband gotten back any results yet from tests? Eight years ago my husband had the same problem. His primary care physician sent him to a urologist. The urologist found that he had a tumor in his bladder and set him up for surgery within a week. In my husband's case, the tumor did turn out to be cancerous. He was instructed to go to UCLA Medical Center in California (Dr. De Kernian). Immediately my husband thought of chemo and how much time he had left. It didn't turn out that way at all. We were informed that chemo will not work inside the bladder. He was given several treatments of "BCG" (tuberculosis bacteria). The only side effect he ever felt, several hours after each treatment, was a tired feeling from the waist down that lasted 1 day. After receiving treatments once a week for about 6 weeks, the cancer was gone. He continued to be checked out every 3 months for the first year, then twice a year, now once a year. He's been cancer-free for 8 years and you'd never know anything had ever been wrong. Good luck to you too!
