Sounds like you have the respiratory infection that is going around. Keep watch that you do not go into bronchitis or pneumonia.
Drink plenty of fluids, flush sinuses with saline solution, take a deconjestant if you tolerate it, or take a plain anahistamine. Take Mucinex (same thing as plain Robitussin but stronger and in pill form, over the counter) to help keep mucous thinned so the body can get rid of it. If you do not get better or if your chest becomes tight feeling, see a doctor, you can go into pneumonia with these respiratory problems. Keep check on your temperature. I did not have temperature with the infection but some people do.
What I had was a combination viral/bacteria respiratory infection and my body was not able to overcome it. Had to take a very strong antibiotic since I ended up with ba bronchitis and on verge of pneumonia. I resorted to using Afrin Nasal Spray while ill (not good to use long term, is habit forming).
Using a vaporizer in room is good too, keeps air moist, not too dry.
