Re: Full body check
If you haven't gotten your "full body check" as you put it, take a moment and re-consider the excellent points from MISTY's reply. It sounds like you've never had a check-up based on the questions you asked. If there is a medical problem, then I'd suggest seeing a doctor. Whether or not that would result in a "full body check" is hard to say. And if there is no medical problem, but this is what you want, then be mindful of the adage of "Be careful what you ask for...you may just get it! This is especially true considering the exam. I know from experience!
Some years back I had a few extra $$$ and I decided I wanted a "thorough exam", as I stated it. And believe me, that's what I got.
If you know your physician, you might have an idea of how he or she conducts a physical. I didn't and I soon learned just what procedures were involved. MISTY uses a good phrase, that being, old time type physicals which is the type I received, and it was certainly "old time".
As far as procedures, you could go through everything from having your temperature taken, (like I did), except when I opened my mouth, the nurse smiled and said, "The other end!" ( certainly "old time"!),to running on a treadmill like I did, plus all other kinds of pokings and tests, some required for males 40 and over, etc. I came away with a clean bill of health, as they say, and speaking of bills...
...The worst part of the whole situation (again one which I said I wanted) was the surgery I had to do when I had to "remove" more money from my bank account in addition to what extra I had, to pay my bills, which were a few and expensive.
So, if you haven't had this check-up and you're not in ill health, think long and hard about going for it.
Good luck.
