White Fuzzy tongue! eww! - General Health Message Board

I have had a white fuzzy tongue for 2 months now! Some days it looks like its getting better and some days it looks worse. Does this mean I still have a Virus in me? Becouse I was diagnosed with a Upper Respritory Infection/Virus 2 months ago. I'm also just now coming down from Sinusitis it think.. my nose is cleared up atleaste. But when I sniff hard my ears feel "full" "pressure" (hard to explain). Anyways im not worried about the sinuses becouse it getting better but I am concerned about my white tongue! Doesn't hurt or feel funny just bothers me. My girlfriend wants nothing to do with me and my white tongue

Please Help

Its common in people, its known as Oral Flush. (yeast overgrowth) Take a Candida cleanse and little no sugar and it will clear up . It does take a little time to clear up yeast (Candida). later!!

Can I do anything that I might have at home, i really dont want to spend money on anything. I drink a lot of coke, maybe thats why its lasting this long? Will it clear on its own if i keep drinking coke?

I was thinking garggling salt water or a mauth wash, what do you think?

Candida is tough once it sets in. You can go to the doctor and he'll prescibe ''Nystatin '' to clear it up or you can go to the health food store and purchase a Candida cleanse for about 20-30 dollars. (cheaper) Either way it will take several weeks to clear up and again sugar fuels Yeast so i would stay off Coke!! For maintenace you may want to eat Yogurt or Kefir or take Probiotics on a regular basis to support the good Bacteria in your gut which keeps yeast in check !! later !!

Acidic things like cola drinks will keep the bacteria in your mouth well fed and cause them to multiply. Cut down on drinking it if you can. For immediate relief on the tongue brush your teeth with salt and rub some on your tonque. This will remove the white stuff right away. Rinse your mouth with strong salt water several times a day to kill the bacteria and make your mouth alkaline and therefore undesirable to yeast.
