| Complete blindness for 1 minute+
Welp, I was on the bus today when I started feeling very nauseous. It was all I could do to not vomit. Soon my vision started fading out. Within a few seconds, everything was black. I was still completely conscious. I tried focusing on different things, turning my head to the bright outside and then away from it, and didn't notice any change in light, like the way you would be able to tell if the lights were on or off if your eyes were closed. During this time I was still fighting to not throw up.
The complete lack of vision lasted for a minute, maybe more, and then my sight gradually came back. As I got off the bus (I missed my stop while I couldn't see, so I got off at the next one), I noticed I was very wobbly, and couldn't balance well. Soon after, I started feeling better, and my vision came back to 100% within a minute or so.
A similar thing happened about five years ago, but I don't think my vision was gone for that long; if I remember correctly I couldn't see for about 10 seconds that time, and assumed I had just gone unconcious.
Last night, I drank alcohol, and was intoxicated. I'm sure the nausea is related to that, but the blindness? I've gotten sick before, but only lost my vision that one other time. I am a 21 year old male, and I am not on any medications.
Is a temporary, complete loss of vision not an uncommon thing for people who get nauseous, or do I have a problem?
Thanks,
Rammo
