| Re: stomach pain what can it be
Unfortunately the pain may NOT be coming from your gall bladder. But if they looked at your gall bladder and said it needs to be removed then you definitely needs to be removed. Even if it is not causing you pain, if it is diseased or has gall stones in it, it needs to come out. If it gets worse it WILL cause you pain and depending on how bad it gets it can be deadly. So, I would definitely keep the appt to have it removed. Who knows? Maybe after it comes out your pain WILL be gone.
I had pain similar to what you are describing and at first they thought it was my gall bladder or appendix as well. But after doing all the scans and tests they found that both organs were functioning with no problems. I was in the hospital for 7 days trying to get diagnosed! It turned out that I had horrible torn ligaments in my abdomen. I have NO idea how I tore them, etc... I hadn't been excercising or doing anything overly physical or different from my daily routine. But it was extremely painful.
SO....your pain could be coming from many things. You need to try and get to the bottom of it for sure. BUT, if they saw problems with you gall bladder and determined that it needs to come out, that is what you need to start with. Then go from there.
