Thanks for the help Misty - if you really do think it's serious enough to warrant a trip to the doctor, I'll try to get booked in tomorrow. I'd really just like to know if anyone had any idea what this could be though...I've seen similar symptoms described with anxiety or panic attacks, but, well, I don't think I have those
I'm still just a little reluctant to go to my doctor - he once tried to tell me a knee problem I had was 'growing pains' - it resulted in surgery...needless to say he treats 'children' coming to him with 'made up problems' [as he once called them whilst making air quotes] with more than a little disdain
It'd just be nice to go with some idea of what to expect from if it requires a little 'force' to get him to take me seriously. (This is probably a predominantly American forum, so I expect some comments like 'get another GP!' - but this is England, and most of us still have to put up with a failing National Health Service where getting another doctor is like [insert comical wit here...])
Sorry if I've made him out to be a bit of an ogre - I'm sure he's a lovely man really....but, well, yes.
Any guidance - however vague - would be greatly appreciated,
