| Re: Low cholesterol
High cholesterol isn't the only cholesterol worry there is, despite the push by doctors for us to take drugs to get it as low as we can.
Naturally low cholesterol has been connected to its own set of health problems, the foremost one being overactive thyroid function. You have listed three of the most common symptoms of hyperthyroidism... Hair loss, light periods, and low cholesterol. I recommend you have your thyroid tested.
Low cholesterol is also connected to nutrient malabsorption problems. Just because you may eat a good diet, it doesn't mean you're absorbing any of its value. Low cholesterol is a symptom of liver disease.
People with low cholesterol have a much higher rate of depression and anxiety than those with normal or high cholesterol, and they may have a higher risk of hemorrhageic stroke and some cancers.
If it were me, I wouldn't just shrug it off. I would want to know why it's so low.
