I have to take pills twice a day, and am told to take them after I eat, but I'm curious why I have to have them after I eat rather than before or during. What's a potential reason? What difference does it make?
With some pills, It could be hard on your stomach. pain, nausea, etc. Sometimes it is better if you have food in your stomach before you take a pill, it has less of a chance of bothering your stomach.
and some pills have to be taken on an empty stomach as the pill wont get absorbed if the stomach is full. Thyroid replacement is usually taken like this and cannot be taken within 6-8 hrs of calcium & iron supplements or oral HRT
