| Flegmy Throat
Hi folks, here's my problem:
I have a constant build up of clear, runny flegm at the top of back of my throat, I think that it's mucus running down from my nose. My nose isn't especially runny or blocked & I don't have headaches or anything, my only complaint is that this flegm is there all the time & it won't go away; I either have to swallow it or spit it out, so I choose to spit. I smoke lightly & occasionally & sometimes after smoking I will cough up some lumpy yellow-green flegm but I go months without smoking & I don't think these are related. I asked my Doctor & she said there was no cause for it; that it's probably just an inherent part of me. She asked if I'd tried inhaling steam or anything, which I haven't so I don't know whether that would work. I've had this problem for years now. It probably began around or after puberty & I'm now 23.
So I was hoping that someone might have a second opinion on this; what may be causing it; whether it's preventable. Thanks for any help.
